Album Art Visualizer

SkillWeb & browsing

Once added, your AI can build and edit the ART-mode visualizer in nullplayer's Library Browser, where 30 GPU effects turn album artwork into moving visuals driven by the audio. It can also tune how strongly the effects react, set up keyboard shortcuts, and manage how ART-mode starts and stops.

Available today. Use it from your connected AI after setup.

After adding it, tell your AI which effect, intensity, shortcut, or ART-mode behavior you want changed, and it can make the edits in nullplayer's Library Browser.

Then ask your AI: use the Album Art Visualizer skill

What your AI can do with it

  • Add visualizer effects that transform album artwork based on audio
  • Edit existing ART-mode effects in the Library Browser
  • Adjust effect intensity so the visuals react more or less to the music
  • Set up keyboard shortcuts for controlling the visualizer
  • Manage the ART-mode lifecycle from start to finish

What this skill tells your AI

The instructions your AI receives, as published by ad-repo/nullplayer in skills/album-art-visualizer/SKILL.md and read by ahel’s review.

GPU-accelerated effects that transform album artwork based on audio.

Accessing

  1. Open Library Browser window
  2. Switch to ART mode (click ART tab)
  3. Visualizer activates automatically when music plays
  4. Right-click for visualizer context menu

Technical

  • Rendering: Core Image filters with Metal GPU
  • Frame Rate: 60 FPS animation timer
  • Audio Reactivity: spectrum bands (bass/mid/treble)
  • Auto-Stop: effects pause after ~0.5s of silence
  • Intensity Range: 0.5×–2.0× effect strength

Key Files

Troubleshooting

Effects not showing: ensure ART mode in Library Browser; music playing; try clicking to cycle.

Performance: lower intensity; some effects (Feedback) are more demanding.
