Jewel PR and release preparation
SkillDocs & knowledgejewel-release is a skill that lets your agent prepare Jewel pull requests and releases with checks, release notes, cherry-picks, and tagging. It walks the agent through interactive checklists for either a pull request or a release. For pull requests it validates the commit, runs local CI checks, drafts release notes, and creates the PR using helper scripts. For releases it handles version bumps, checks, release notes, cherry-picks to release branches, artifact validation, and tagging, stopping to ask the user whenever a check fails.

What this skill tells your AI
The instructions your AI receives, as published by jetbrains/intellij-community in .agents/skills/jewel-release/SKILL.md and read by ahel’s review.
Both workflows are interactive checklists. Work through one step at a time, report the result of each step, and stop to ask the user before you move on when a check fails.
Check the platform/jewel/docs folder for the process guides:

local CI checks, drafts the release notes entry, and creates the PR with
scripts/validate_pr_body.pyandscripts/suggest_reviewers.py. - Prepare a release: follow release.md. It covers the version bumps, the checks, the release notes, the cherry-picks to the release branches, the artifact validation, and the tagging.
