What this skill tells your AI
The instructions your AI receives, as published by stbenjam/skillsaw in tests/fixtures/large-skill-library/skills/tune-alerts/SKILL.md and read by ahel’s review.
Reduces pager volume without hiding real failures, by moving thresholds onto symptoms customers feel.
Method
- Pull four weeks of alert history.
- Classify each page: actionable, duplicate, or noise.
- Delete the noise. Merge the duplicates. Keep the rest.
The classification rules are in the alert taxonomy, and the history query in the query collection.
A service whose pages are more than half noise gets its alerting rewritten rather than tuned; the rewrite guide covers that.
