Production Checklist

  • Embedding model locked (changing requires full re-index)
  • Batch upserts with error handling
  • Metadata schema documented
  • Index type configured (HNSW for most cases)
  • Backup strategy for vector data
  • Monitoring: query latency, index size, recall metrics
